The two main return routes

Changed your mind, or is something wrong?

The process depends on why the tyre is being returned.

Change of mind

Unused and unfitted tyres

For a standard change-of-mind return, the tyre should remain unused, unfitted and in resaleable condition.

  • Contact us within the applicable return period.
  • Do not fit, balance or drive on the tyre.
  • Keep labels and identifying markings intact where possible.
  • Protect the tyre properly for transport.
Damaged, faulty or incorrect

Do not fit the tyre

If the product arrives damaged, appears faulty, or is not what you ordered, contact us before installation.

  • Send your order number.
  • Send clear photographs of the tyre and labels.
  • Keep the product unused while we assess the issue.
  • We will confirm the appropriate return or resolution route.
Return condition

What we mean by unused and returnable

For a normal change-of-mind return, the tyre should be in a condition that allows it to be inspected and resold.

Not fittedNot mounted to a wheel, balanced or installed on a vehicle.
Not driven onNo road use, contamination or wear from driving.
IdentifiableLabels and tyre markings remain intact where reasonably possible.
Properly protectedReturned in a way that avoids unnecessary damage in transit.
Refunds

Refunds go back through the original payment route.

Once a refund is approved, we normally send it back using the same payment method used for the order. Your bank or payment provider may then need additional time before the funds appear in your account.

Original payment methodCard or supported checkout provider used for the order.
Return inspectionReturned goods may be checked before a refund is completed.
Statutory timing still appliesWhere consumer law sets a refund deadline, that legal deadline takes priority over this store policy.
Return delivery costs

Who pays for the return?

For a standard change-of-mind return, you may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods where applicable and where this has been properly communicated.

If the tyre is faulty, damaged in transit, incorrect or otherwise supplied in breach of your statutory rights, contact us before arranging transport so we can confirm the correct route and responsibility for costs.

Consumer purchases

Your statutory rights are separate from our 14 working day policy.

Online cancellation rights

UK consumers buying online will normally have statutory cancellation rights under applicable consumer law. Those rights operate separately from the voluntary MV Tyres return window shown on this page.

Faulty or misdescribed goods

Nothing in this policy limits rights relating to goods that are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.

Standard delivery cost

Where consumer cancellation law requires the original standard delivery cost to be refunded, we will apply that requirement. Upgraded delivery options may be treated differently.

Special cases

Some returns need individual assessment

Fitted or used tyres

A normal change-of-mind return can be affected if a tyre has been fitted, driven on or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it.

Specially sourced goods

Special-order or customised goods may be subject to different rules where an applicable legal exception exists. We will explain this before purchase where relevant.

Business purchases

Trade and business orders may be governed by separately agreed commercial terms rather than consumer cancellation rules.

FAQ

Common return questions

How long do I have under the MV Tyres return policy?

Our store policy provides 14 working days for eligible returns, subject to the conditions on this page. Consumer statutory rights may provide separate rights and time periods.

Can I return a tyre after it has been fitted?

If you simply changed your mind, fitting or using the tyre may affect whether it is eligible for return. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods are assessed separately.

Where do I send my return?

Contact us first. The return address can depend on how the order was fulfilled, so do not send goods to our registered office, a supplier or manufacturer unless instructed.

What if the wrong tyre arrives?

Do not fit it. Email office@mvtyres.com with your order number and photographs showing the tyre markings and labels.

How will I receive my refund?

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method used for the order.

What if my refund is not showing yet?

Banks and payment providers can need additional processing time after a refund has been issued. Contact us with your order number if you believe a refund is overdue.
